Canspa hot tubs are made in Canada.  Replace your Jasper, Belair, Malibu, Ottawa, Montreal, Yukon, Elora or Yorkville hot tub filter with a quality replacement cartridge made from Reemay filter material.

Popular replacement filters that fit Canspa hot tubs include:

17 1/2 sq.ft. cartridge filter measuring 4 5/8″ x 4 15/16″ diameter and center hole diameter 2 1/8″. This filter is equivalent to C-4401, PRB17.5SF-PAIR and FC-2386.

25 sq. ft. filter measuring 6 5/8″ x 4  15/16″ diamter and center hole diameter 2 1/8″.  This filter is equivalent to C-4405, PRB25SF-PAIR and FC-2387.

45 sq. ft. filter with semi-circular handle on top measures 8 1/4″ long x 6″ outer diameter. Filter size is same as 6CH-940, PWW50P3 and FC-0539 models.

Canspa Manufacturing filter equivalents are made by Unicel, Pleatco, Master Deluxe and Filbur.  Be sure to identify if your filter has only holes on both ends (which would measure 2 1/8″ in diameter) or if there is a semi-circular handle on the top and/or a bottom Male SAE threaded connector (1 1/2″) such as found on the 6CH-940 filter.

You can’t go wrong with any of these brand name filters as they should be replaced every year to year and a half anyways.  As long as you buy a filter that uses quality filber fabric such as Reemay brand filter paper, the filtration will be optimal and you will save money by comparing filter prices.  It is better to save money buying quality cartridge filters online than fall for the argument that so-and-so’s filter will last 5 years.  You probably don’t want to keep anybody’s filter in your spa for 5 years as the filter paper will begin to deteriorate and become clogged with oils, lotions and debris.  The fine holes in the filter media will become enlarged and filter unevenly.  A clogged filter increases your electricity consumption because it makes the pumps work harder to move water through the filter.  In extreme circumstances, your clogged filter may make the pump push most of the water through the secondary safety bypass in the plumbing, thus reducing any filtration of your water at all, leaving you sitting in poorly filtered water. 

Clean your filter regularly and replace it annually for best results.
